On the 13th, the official authorities in Nanning, Guangxi held a press conference to announce that during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, Nanning will fully capitalize on its geographical advantages facing ASEAN, comprehensively implement the "Artificial Intelligence + Manufacturing" initiative, and establish an industrial cluster for AI and next-generation information and communication technology.

Zhang Li, the Director of Nanning Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, stated that during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, Nanning will comprehensively advance the integration of digital and intelligent technologies across various industries, prioritizing key industrial chains such as semiconductors, computers and network communications, intelligent terminals, and new display technologies. Efforts will be concentrated on accelerating the extension, supplementation, and enhancement of these industrial chains, with the aim of establishing a comprehensive, closed-loop industrial ecosystem. In recent years, Nanning has sped up the development of an innovation highland oriented towards ASEAN, successfully establishing two national-level specialized industrial clusters for deep aluminum processing and intelligent terminal chips, as well as six advanced manufacturing clusters in Guangxi, including those focused on intelligent net-connected new energy vehicles. Prominent enterprises in the industry, such as 360 and Qi An Xin, have established operations in Nanning. Additionally, a range of robotic and intelligent terminal products developed by companies such as AI2 Robotics and Maiyue Technology have achieved their initial production and application. Furthermore, Ruanjian's "Quchi Operations and Maintenance Large Model" has marked Guangxi's first significant breakthrough in the development of large models.

According to reports, Nanning is set to expedite the development of the China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Collaborative Innovation Center (CAAIC), establish the CAAIC ASEAN Valley, the China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Trusted Data Space, and other related facilities, aiming to create a demonstration zone for AI application scenarios while consistently advancing "Nanning Intelligent Manufacturing" and "Nanning Standards" within the ASEAN.
