Nanning has recently initiated pilot programs for self-driving cleaning vehicles in the Jinlun area of Xingning District and the core area of Wuxiang New District, utilizing technological empowerment to substantially improve operational efficiency and environmental quality.

According to Li Guixin, Deputy General Manager of Guangxi Huanfa City Service Co., Ltd., the cleaning vehicles are equipped with full-process intelligent functions, such as comprehensive cleaning, automatic charging and water replenishment, and independent waste disposal, enabling them to adapt to diverse complex urban environments and deliver efficient, continuous, and high-quality sanitation operations. With AI-driven scheduling and autonomous operation, a single self-driving cleaning vehicle can operate up to 16 hours per day and clean a maximum area of 64,000 square meters, equivalent to the workload of six sanitation workers. The system also ensures operational safety through high-precision navigation, dynamic obstacle avoidance, multi-sensor integration, and remote real-time monitoring and control.

To advance the intelligent transformation of the sanitation industry, Nanning is actively integrating AI technologies to empower sanitation industry. By promoting the “AI + City Services” model, Nanning aims to support the development of a smart city ecosystem, extensively enhance refined management of the city, and establish a nationally recognized benchmark for intelligent sanitation practices.
