On November 17, the AI Capacity-Building Action for All Cup "Smart City" Construction Innovation Competition, jointly organized by the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Federation of Trade Unions of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and the Nanning Municipal People's Government, officially launched and will run through March 28, 2026. Themed with "Smart Cities, Smarter Future", the competition features professional and university tracks.

The professional track centers closely on the development of "quality housing, quality residential complexes, quality communities, and quality urban districts", and focuses on four major application scenarios: intelligent construction and green buildings, smart residential areas and smart communities, urban development and urban governance, and urban safety and public services. The university track is open to faculty and students, encouraging cross-disciplinary and cross-sector innovative collaboration. Participating teams must propose innovative and feasible smart city solutions aligned with the goal of "building innovative, livable, beautiful, resilient, civilized, and smart modern people-oriented cities".

To ensure effective conversion of competition outcomes, award-winning projects will be systematically compiled after the event, organized for application to projects for Guangxi Science and Technology Plan, and incorporated into the autonomous region's artificial intelligence scenario project reserve. Additionally, leveraging the collaborative network established through the competition, activities such as "AI + housing and construction" innovation salons and supply-demand matching sessions will be regularly organized to promote the concentration of innovation resources and results conversion.
