Suzhou has long embedded wetland conservation into the city’s very fabric. Wetland nature schools have been established. Nature education programs are regularly conducted. It serves as a model of cities living within wetlands, where people and nature coexist over the long term. Suzhou is shaped by water. An ancient city born of water and wetlands. Last July, Suzhou was accredited as International Wetland City.
