Recently, the safety review for the construction project involving the production and storage of hazardous chemicals at the refueling and gas station of the Pinglu Canal Xinfu Waterborne Comprehensive Service Area was approved by the Nanning Municipal Government Affairs Service Bureau, making it the first compound waterborne integrated energy supply support facility in Guangxi to pass such a safety review, which is of great significance for improving the energy supply guarantee system for navigation along the Pinglu Canal.
As the only canal support facility along the Pinglu Canal (Nanning Section) that provides both ship shore‑based refueling and gas supply as well as refueling for social vehicles, the project faced a lack of inspection standard systems, encountering difficulties in standard definition, risk assessment, and process verification.
With the Pinglu Canal about to open to navigation, Nanning's sea‑oriented economic development is embracing new opportunities. The city will continue to deepen reform measures such as early intervention, agency assistance, joint inspection, and approval with conditional acceptance, maintain a dedicated green channel for the Pinglu Canal project, promoting a shift in government services from "passive acceptance" to "active empowerment", thus providing solid administrative support for the high‑quality development of the sea‑oriented economy.
