On June 25, the Qingnian Hub of the Pinglu Canal began water-based joint commissioning, marking the entry of the Pinglu Canal hub project into the water-based joint testing stage.

This water-based joint commissioning uses centralized control to systematically review and test the command execution accuracy of the ship lock’s operating equipment, the hydraulic characteristics of water filling and discharge, and the operational stability of the electrical control system under water-linked conditions. It also conducts comprehensive performance inspections of core equipment, including the ship lock’s metal structures, hoists, electrical control devices, and centralized control system.

At present, all builders of the Pinglu Canal are making every effort to complete four key tasks, namely final channel bed clearance, ship lock joint commissioning, supporting works construction, and logistics coordination. This water-based joint commissioning is a critical part of the ship lock testing campaign and is essential to the safety and reliability of ship lock operations.
